Why do I need an inspection?

While properties may look structurally sound from the outside there are many different components that may not be working as they should which could cost you money!

Why is radon testing recommended?

In South Dakota, there are high levels of radon which is one of the leading causes of lung cancer. If the radon is tested and levels are elevated a radon mitigation system can be set up which will decrease the level of radon present.

Why do you encourage a home inspection on a new house?

Even though a house may be new it is always important to have a thorough inspection. to ensure that the house is structurally sound and if there are any issues you can reach out to your builder promptly.

How do you assess hidden leaks, moisture, etc.?

A thermal imaging camera is used which allows home inspectors to assess inside areas such as walls for leaks, moisture issues, or overheating components.

How long does an inspection take?

Inspection times depend on the condition and size of the property. On average most inspections take between 2.5 and 3 hours. I will do my best to give you a time estimate so we can do a walk-through after.

Did my property pass the inspection?

Unfortunately, there are no pass or fail properties. My job is to provide a detailed report about the condition of the property allowing you to make an informed decision on your purchase.
